I have had no problems and I feel you can overspend for pricer items like this and they do nothing more.Cyberpower 850 8-Outlet Surge Suppressor - 2400 Joules 15A RJ11 EMI/RFI Purchased two of these units based on reviewes I read like this, appears to be a fine item for the money.
I'm using it for a 42 inch plasma, a DVR and a Sony surround sound system. It is also quite sturdy. If I were going to spend a lot of money on a surge suppressor, I'd consider a whole-house system rather than an expensive unit that plugs into the wall. I looked at quite a few other surge suppressor power strips before settling on this one. From what I was able to come up with, this strip has a high enough rating for Joules and a price that makes sense.
You will have no problems with large plugs and the unused outlets cover-up to keep my kids fingers out. Great price for a great product. Bought two.
No complaints about this. Not much to surge suppressors, but having larger spaces for all the bulky transformer plugs helps a lot. Build quality is good.
We have the 50" tv, satellite receiver, surround system, and other miscellaneous little things plugged up to it, and it's been working great so far. I bought this product for our entertainment system setup, and it works great.
